Why am I receiving notifications about my Meta account from appsheet.com?

appsheet Scam alert

If you are receiving these notifications, you are being actively targeted by a sophisticated phishing scam designed to steal your Facebook/Meta login details and take over your account.

These emails may look official, often claiming to be from “Meta Support Team” or “Facebook Business Team,” warning that your account will be deleted within 24 hours due to a “policy violation.” This is FALSE. It is a scam.

How the Scam Works

  • The emails are sent via AppSheet (a legitimate Google platform) using noreply@appsheet.com

  • Because this is a trusted domain, the emails can bypass spam filters and look legitimate

  • The message creates panic and urgency to pressure you into acting fast

What They Want

If you click the link, you’ll be taken to a fake Facebook/Meta login page. The moment you enter your:

  • Username

  • Password

  • 2FA codes

    • Your account is immediately compromised and can be used to run ads, scam others, or lock you out completely.

Do This Immediately

  • DO NOT click any links in the email

  • DO NOT download attachments

  • DO NOT enter any login details

PROTECT YOURSELF

  • Mark the email as Phishing in your inbox

  • Delete it immediately

  • If concerned, manually go to Facebook.com (type it yourself — do NOT use the email link) and check your account

  • Look for red flags:

    • Urgent threats or countdowns

    • Poor grammar or unusual wording

    • Sender address like noreply@appsheet.com instead of official Meta domains

Bottom Line

This is a deliberate, high-volume scam exploiting trusted systems to trick you.

  • The urgency is fake — the risk is real.

If you receive one of these emails, treat it as malicious and dangerous.
